📌 Refund Policy – The Basics

Project Combustion: Junior Scientists Club is an independent, educational enrichment program currently operated by educators Larry Pretlow II and Jorge Santiago. The Club does not engage in for-profit activities and does not sell products, services, or subscriptions to students, parents, or the general public.
 

🧾 1. No General Payments or Sales Accepted

At this time:

  • We do not collect any general membership fees for participation in the club

  • We do not sell goods or services through this website

  • We do not solicit or accept donations, payments, or sponsorships for profit

  • We only accept optional, pre-approved payments from families on a case-by-case basis to support specific field trips, project materials, or club-sponsored events, where applicable
     

🔁 2. Refunds (If Applicable)

In rare cases where a parent or guardian contributes funds toward a specific event or purchase (e.g., a field trip fee or optional supply kit), refunds will be issued only under the following conditions:
 

  • A cancellation is made prior to the stated deadline and in accordance with any terms provided for that event

  • The contribution is eligible for refund based on vendor returnability or availability of unused funds

  • A written request is submitted by the parent/guardian to the club operator within the refund window

All refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No automatic or guaranteed refunds are provided.
 

📉 3. Non-Refundable Situations

  • No refunds are issued for missed events due to personal absences

  • Funds committed to third-party vendors, bookings, or transportation that cannot be recovered are non-refundable

  • No refunds will be issued for donations (if accepted in the future) unless required by law

However, as a community-based, volunteer-operated enrichment club, we do not operate as a business and do not process standard refunds like commercial vendors.
